クッションカバーと音符のフラッシュカード

大きなクッションをカバーなしで暫く使っていましたが、市場の布屋さんで気に入った色が見つかったので、遂に作りました。このクッション、実際は枕で、お客さんが来た時に兼用できるようにしています。
ジッパーなしで、洗っても糸が出てこないように袋縫いで縫いました。　太陽の日で明るい間は色味が良いのですが、夜の部屋のオレンジ色の明かりとこの色はあまり相性が良くなかった。。。ま、でも、季節が変わる時期にもう少し明るい色でまた作れば良いと思い直して満足！　布は、インテリア用の生地を買ったので少し硬いかなと思いましたが、サイズが大きいので身体をちゃんとサポートしてくれてなんだかとっても気持ち良いです。　
We have been using the big cushions without any cover. (well, they are actually pillows, but we are using both as cushion on our sofa and pillow when we have guests. ) I finally found the fabric on the market, so I made the cushion covers. オランダ語のクラスで出会ったシンガポール人の友人に趣味程度で良いのでと頼まれて、先月から友人の娘さんにピアノを教えています。そこで使う為に作った音符のフラッシュカード。　ただ単にリンクから印刷して来ただけですが、これがレッスンを楽しくする道具に　
I started giving the piano lesson to my friend's daughter. For the use in the class, I printed the flash cards of music notes. These cards reminds me the piano lesson I was taking when I was small, and I found they are more than just flash cards to make the lesson fun

今年から、M氏の同僚にお弁当を作る事となりましたで、１月に作ったお弁当たちをご紹介

雪がつもった 2017年1月7日 January 7th. 2017

秋のスイス旅行記を書く前に、ほったらかしになっている最近の記事からアップして行こうと思います。
オランダでの結婚式から半年たった１月7日は、オランダ語クラスのアジア人女子たちと約束していた持ち寄りパーティでした。この日は寒くなると天気予報で知っていたけれど、なんと朝起きたら雪だったっていう　寒い〜　朝の景色はこんな感じでした。
Before writing about our trip in Switzerland, I would like to upload the blogs which has been left in my draft for a while... On 7th Jan. (a half year passed since our wedding in the Netherlands), we did potluck lunch with other asian girls from my Dutch class. I knew the weather became cold on this day, but it snowed This was the morning view on that day.

早朝から準備　M氏が、卵をスーパーで、苺を市場で買いに出かけてくれたので、その間に、私はロールケーキ作り。
モカクリームのチョコロールケーキと苺のロールケーキの２種類作るはずだったけれど、モカクリームのチョコロールケーキの生地が量より大きいサイズの型で焼いたので、少し硬くなってしまい巻くと亀裂が。。。仕方ないので、適当に分割し、分割した生地とモカクリームと苺を交互に重ねて容器に投入して、食べる時にスプーンで取り分けるケーキ（スコップケーキ）に。ちなみに、このモカクリーム、スプーン一杯の珈琲をホィップクリームに混ぜて作るんですが、これが美味しかった。そして、苺のロールケーキ。前回作った時の卵白の泡立てで失敗した教訓をいかして、今回は綺麗に仕上がりました♡　
できたケーキと作り置きしていたサラダを持って、出発〜♪
In the morning, Mr. M went to buy eggs and strawberries, and I made cakes.
I planed to make Chocolate roll cake with mocha cream and strawberry roll cake, but I made chocolate scoop cake with mocha cream and strawberry roll cake instead. The amount of the sponge dough for Chocolate roll cake was too little for the required amount for the cake pan, and it baked too hard to roll... However, the mocha cream for the chocolate cake was super tasty, and the strawberry roll cake turned out to be really good.
たまたま見かけた素敵な中庭(courtyard, binnenhof)。何軒かの家(見た目はコの字型、もしくは四角の建物の連なった建物だけど、玄関と中はそれぞれ分かれている）に囲まれた中庭でゲートの前にはそれぞれの家の郵便箱がありました。　

誘ってくれたお家の友人は、旦那様の仕事上各国を何年かごとに移り住んだ後、子どもたちの教育のため、彼女の旦那様の母国であるオランダに戻って住む事にしたんだそう。お家には東南アジア家具、オープンキッチン、本棚には各国のガイド本、友人の趣味である油絵、などなど素敵な雰囲気でした。
The friend who invited us to the potluck had lived in the other countries for a long time because of their work, and came back to the Netherlands (her husband's home country) for their children's education. With asian furniture, her oil paintings, many travel guide books etc, their house had cozy atmosphere.
持ち寄りのメニューは、

Potluck dishes were Vermicelli salad, Big spring rolls, Seafood & pork Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancakes), Red curry with Jasmine rice,and Bread

　　チョコレートスコップケーキ　

　　苺のロールケーキ

We also got Cherry cake, cream puff (soesje), tompouce, chocolate scoop cake, and strawberry roll cake as our sweets.

テーブルを囲んで話で盛り上がり、笑いが絶えない食卓でした。そして、オランダ語を一緒に学んでいるクラスメイトが、気さくに交流できるお友達となり嬉しい日となりました。　

We talked and laughed a lot with tasty foods. We had a great time together. 　I personally felt on this day that my classmates of the Dutch class became our friends who we can visit without hesitation

2017年あけましておめでとうございます。Happy New Year, 2017.
2016年の初めに定期的更新を目指すみたいな事書きましたが、結局夏旅後のろ〜い更新になってしまい、しかも途中から英語版は消え去りました汗　今年も定期更新できるかどうか分かりませんが、書いて行こうと思います。宜しくお願いします。

今年のニューイヤー、オランダはクリスマス頃から続いている濃霧と時々雨で、ご近所さんが打ち上げていた花火があまり綺麗に見えず残念な天候でしたが、元旦は家でまったり♪　2017年明けて最初のお昼ご飯をお正月らしくするため、年末３１日の朝に市場で買った蛸と色んな人から頂いた食材を使って料理をした結果、元旦の昼食は、(食器に助けられている感が否めないけれど...)なんとかおせちっぽい食卓にすることができました　色々頂いて、ほんと感謝です。ありがとう　

Thanks to special ingredients from my friends (and I also bought one whole octopus at the market), we managed to make Japanese new year's meal as our first lunch in 2017;) Thank you, my friends ♡

で、昼食の詳細は、Here is the details　

雑煮っぽい、お素麺汁♪Noodle soup with Rice cake(mochi), radish, and carrot.

蛸のやわらか煮♪　栗原はるみさんのレシピで作りました。この蛸のやわらか煮がお酒とよく合う！日本酒とか白ワイン好きな人にはぴったりな一品です。Octopus which was stewed in soy sauce base. This was so good combination with Sake & white wine Yum!

八幡巻きのごぼうなしバージョンと栗羊羹♪ Boiled carrots rolled with sliced beef and baked with Teriyaki sauce.

日本酒♪　去年、京都で見つけたお猪口で♪　そして、蛸のやわらか煮とその残り汁で作った蛸飯。 Sake & Octopus rice.

何か手伝う事ある？と聞かれたので、M氏に作ってもらった紅白なます♪　簡単で美味しい！ Carrots & radish pickled into sweetened vinegar. Mr. M made this dish ;)

そして、サラダは、松の実をトッピングして、胡桃油と塩をまわしかけたもの。　この胡桃油、M氏のおばさんが庭にある胡桃の木になった胡桃を自分で搾って作ったホームメイドのくるみ油で、めっちゃおいしい！これがあればドレッシング不要です。

因にお茶は、台湾へ行った時に購入した台湾茶器で、台湾茶を♪　そして、そのお隣に食後のデザートのみかん。葉っぱのついたみかんは市場でトルコ人のおじちゃんから購入♪　このみかんちょっと割高だったけれど、めちゃおいしかった。　

Salad with pine nuts, homemade walnut oil, & salt. The homemade walnut oil is from Mr.M's aunt, and it was so tasty! We don't need any dressing if we have this.

で、全体的にこんな感じになりました。　

and overall, it turned out nicely done.
２日目のお昼に、残った蛸飯をおにぎりにして、食べました。(写真に写ってるボトルが、M氏のおばさん自家製くるみ油だよ〜）For the 2nd day's lunch, we made rice balls with the left over octopus rice

２日目の夜は、日本のカレールーを使ったカレーライスに！　普段、日本のルーは値段高いし油っぽいので、ルーを使わず香辛料を混ぜてあっさりしたカレーを作りますが、お正月なので、カレールーで簡単に美味しいカレーを堪能しました。チープな私たち２人には、これがごちそう、しかも片付けが楽！笑　毎年これでええなーと２人ともリラックス。　For the 2nd day's dinner, we made japanese curry rice by using curry stocks. We usually make curry with spices, but since it is 2nd day of the new year, we decided to use expensive oily japanese curry stocks. MMmmmm, we love Japanese curry rice
病気もせず、特別な問題もなく、年初めにおいしいね〜と食卓で言えることに感謝です2017年、みなさんにとって健康で充実した年になりますように

So appreciated that we can eat tasty foods in the beginning of the year without any special health or life problems. Wish you all a very healthy and satisfying year!
