夏旅ハネムーン 8月7日 『熊本市』Aug.7th "Kumamoto city"

阿蘇を後にしバスと電車を乗り継いで熊本駅へ
バスからの阿蘇の眺めが綺麗だったので、何枚も写真を撮ってしまいました。





阿蘇は長野の次に好きな場所になりました。この緑の風景がいつまでも残っていてほしい。また絶対来るぞ〜♡


本当は紅蘭亭でランチしようと思ってましたが、長崎でちゃんぽん食べる予定なのに熊本でちゃんぽんに似たものを食べるべきなんか？という疑問が湧き…

紅蘭亭を通り過ぎたところで、結局ランチは久しぶりに洋食になりました。有名なのかわからないけど、結構人が並んでた。カフェ ド ラム というお店で。
熊本城へ。　ここも震災の被害が。

お城は震災被害で中には入れませんでした。でもその代わりに、市庁舎の最上階から眺めることに。

この後、熊本駅から鹿児島中央駅へ！　そして、宿泊先のホテルの部屋から桜島〜！　この日は、しっかり休んで次の日に備えました。

夏旅ハネムーン 8月6日 阿蘇2日目 2nd day in Aso

前の日とうってかわって、この日は快晴！　この日に大観峰に行きたかったぁ〜！　空が青い〜
自転車で農業の神様が祀られている阿蘇神社へ！　

神社のある門前町は沢山の水基があることで有名。神社内にも神の水と呼ばれる水基がありました。
私たちもお水を水筒に入れて、喉を潤す！とっても冷たくて美味しいお水でした。汚れていない水がばしゃばしゃととめどなく湧く場所がある事は本当に恵まれているなぁと。自然が残っている証拠や〜熊本震災の被害が阿蘇神社にも。阿蘇神社の建物が全壊になりその周りの街の家々は被害があまりなかったようで、地元の人々は神社の神様が被害を全て受けてくれたと言っていました。本当にぺしゃんこ。。。　修理は時間がかかりそうですが、元通りになるといいですね。


本日のランチ　駅の道で購入して、阿蘇の食べ物を食べました！
ランチ後にゲストハウスのオーナーが熊本の震災の被害があった場所へ車で連れて行ってくれました。車から見える景色は本当に綺麗〜！　緑と青！　近代的な物がない1000年前の景色ってこんな感じだったんかなぁと。　
陥没してしまった土地。落差は２m以上。。。

ひび割れ

山の中、コンクリートがばっきばきに割れた駐車場。

地震ではなく、その後の雨で緩くなってた地盤が滑り落ちた場所。ここに橋がかかってたけれど、それも崩れ落ちてしまったのだそう。

夕方、ゲストハウスの裏側で夕焼けを楽しみました。　
地震後、電車の通っていない線路。ゲストハウスのオーナーによると電車が通るようになるにはまだまだだろうとのこと。電車が通らないので草がぼーぼー！この草を取るの凄い労力要りそう。。。
同じゲストハウスに宿泊しているイタリア人、スペイン人、アメリカ人、日本人たちと一緒に夕焼けを楽しんで、その後遅くまで話に花が咲きました

夏旅ハネムーン 8月5日 別府から阿蘇へ Honeymoon Aug.5 "From Beppu to Aso"

九州横断特急にのって大分県別府市から熊本県阿蘇へ

From Beppu, Oita pref. to Aso, Kumamoto pref. by Trans-Kyushu limited express. 電車の窓から見える景色は緑色一色でめっちゃ綺麗〜
Sceneries from the train were so beautiful with totally green color and rice fields.

阿蘇駅前からみた阿蘇山。この日は霞みがかっていて、くっきり見えない。
Viewing Mt. Aso at Aso station...but it was quite misty in the air, and we couldn't see the mountains clearly.

阿蘇駅前でゲストハウスの方にピックアップしてもらい、阿蘇山の状況などを教えてもらった結果、阿蘇山へ登る道が熊本震災の影響で閉ざされているとのことだったので、阿蘇山の反対側に位置する大観峰へ行く事に。

The owner of our guesthouse picked us up at the station. She explained about this area, Mt. Aso, traffics, etc..., and we found that the roads to Mt. Aso were closed because of the damage from Kumamoto earthquake. Therefore,we decided to go to Daikanbo which is located opposite of Mt. Aso, so that we could view the whole mountains in Aso.

阿蘇駅前で大観峰行きバスに乗り、バス停『大観峰入口』で降りて、ここから大観峰までカルデラ台地の上を２km程歩きました。

By bus, we went to the bus stop called "Daikanbo iriguchi" from "Aso station" and walked about 2 km from "Daikanbo iriguchi"(the below pic) to Daikanbo.

下から登って来たのに新たな平らな台地が広がっていてなんだか違う世界にいるような気分。

We came up near to Daikanbo by bus and on the walking to Daikanbo, and we saw this flat field of caldera and another mountains far away...It felt like we got into another world! Seriously summerly green and beautiful!

大観峰でお昼ご飯♥　バスに乗る前に阿蘇駅前の道の駅で買ったあか牛と高菜めしお弁当とカレーご飯弁当をカルデラ台地を眺めながらランチ。その後、大観峰にある小さな売店で飲むヨーグルトとヨーグルトアイスクリームとミルクアイスクリームを食べた！このヨーグルトアイス、フローズンヨーグルトとかではなく、ミルクアイスクリームの上に飲むヨーグルトをかけただけなんだけど、甘いミルクアイスと酸っぱい飲むヨーグルトが美味しい　２人とも、このアレンジ家でもできるなぁ美味しいねと大満足。

At Daikanbo, we first had our lunch and dessert with looking at the caldera sceneries. Since Aso is famous for Japanese brown cattle and pickled mustard leaf, we ate stir-fried rice with pickled mustard and slices of japanese brown cattle. We also ate yogurt drink, normal milk ice cream, & yogurt ice cream(they poured yogurt on the special milk ice cream ). This yogurt ice cream was super tasty. The balance of sweet milk ice cream & sour yogurt!!

そして、大観峰からの景色を堪能しました。

and we enjoyed the whole sceneries of Aso at Daikanbo! It was fantastic! I really want to go again.

霞がかった阿蘇山So misty Mt. Aso

阿蘇のこのカルデラは、２７年前から約９万年前に起こった４度の巨大噴火によって台地が陥没してでき、その時の火砕流は北部九州一帯に広がり、上空に巻き上げられた火山灰は日本全国に広がったという説明が立っていました。　

大観峰の説明の看板には世界最大のカルデラ台地と書かれていたけれど、日本最大のカルデラ台地は北海道の屈斜路カルデラだし、世界最大はインドネシアのトバカルデラだし、なんや全く持って世界最大じゃないやんっていうおち。笑　でも、阿蘇カルデラの形はじょうご型と呼ばれていて、カルデラの内側に安定した集落を形成して、農地開墾が行われ、国道や鉄道まで敷設されているのは世界的に珍しいんやって。（ウィキペディア参照）　

私たちが訪問した時は緑広がる景色でしたが、１０月８日に阿蘇山が噴火した影響で火山灰が降り灰色になった景色をニュースでみました。熊本震災の後の噴火ですので、本当に緑の景色が早く戻って来ることを願います。

According to the explanation board standing at Daikanbo, "A huge depression made with volcanic activities is called "Caldera". In Aso, the land subsided to create a caldera because of 4 super-eruptions occurred between 90,000 years ago to about 270,000 years ago. The pyroclastic flow at that time spread to northern part of Kyushu island and volcanic ash curled up to sky covered all over Japan."

The plate on the Daikanbo also explains this Aso caldera is the biggest in the world, but according to the wikipedia, the biggest caldera is Toba caldera, and plus the biggest caldera in Japan is Kusharo caldera in Hokkaido, Japan... we found Aso caldera is not the biggest.... However, it is quite rare that this calderas has an interior stable enough to cultivate land, build highways and lay railroads. (Refered wikipedia)

When we visited there in August, it was totally green. On Oct.8th, Mt. Aso had a huge eruption, so I saw on the news that Aso was covered by the ash, and the color was totally grey. Kumamoto pref. was hit by a huge earthquake not so long ago, and now they had this eruption. I sincerely hope that the beautiful scenery and vibrant atmosphere will come back soon

阿蘇山の全体像。仏陀の涅槃像の様にみえるとゲストハウスのオーナーが言っていましたが、確かに見える。大観峰を去る前にしっかり目に焼き付けました。

大観峰からバス停までの間に、アナグマと遭遇！　道路脇の花に気を取られていた私に向かってM氏が見てみて!!と必死に叫ぶので何事かと思ったら、アナグマが草むらからでてきました。お尻を振って道路を横切って行く様がとっても可愛い〜！M氏はアナグマと目が合ったらしい。笑　熊の赤ちゃんが出て来たのかと思ってびっくりしました。　一瞬の出来事だったので、撮れた写真はこれ。お尻がしっかり映った写真が撮れました。
On the way going back to the bus stop from Daikanbo, we happened to see a Japanese badger! I was checking flowers, then Mr. M screaming like HEY, WAAAATCH!!! NOW NOW NOW!! I thought he was joking, but he was seriously screaming, so I turned around then I saw the badger passing across the road!!!! The way the badger walks with his butt shaking..it was so cute! Mr. M‘s eyes actually met the badger's when it came out from the grass field, and the animal started running. I was little bit surprised to hear Mr. M's screem like seeing a bear baby came out.. it was sudden, so what I was able to get on a photo was only the badger's cute butt. カルデラ台地の上に立つ電柱。なんだかレトロな雰囲気♥

We went back to Aso station by bus and took a break at "Michi no Eki".

夕食を買いに自転車でスーパーへ。

Then went to a supermarket by cycling to buy our dinner.

P.S. We saw this cute vending machine with Kumamon design at Daikanbo. (Kumamon is a bear mascotte of Kumamoto prefecture.)

夏旅ハネムーン 8月4日 『 別府2 』Aug.4 "Beppu2"

別府名物砂風呂へ。　

目の前に海が広がっていて開放的な雰囲気でした。私たちが行った時には、韓国のテレビ局が旅番組のロケをしてました(笑)有名な韓国人俳優？が１人と少し有名な韓国人俳優が1人来てる〜と隣にいる若い女の子が騒ぎ立ててましたが、結局誰なのか私にはさっぱり分からず。。。ロケを横目に見ながら、砂風呂を体験することに。浴衣に着替えて、カメラを持って外へ。チケットをおばちゃんに渡して横になると、おばちゃんが砂かけてくれます。じんわり暖かくて、自分の鼓動がよく聞こえました。ちなみに、担当のおばちゃんが傘を立ててくれましたが、太陽の光を遮ってないっていう。。。笑　めっちゃ眩しかった。

体験時間は多分１０分程。汗を沢山かくので、安全上そのくらいの時間が適度な時間なのでしょう。終わったら、砂から自分で這い出て、砂をはらって、シャワーをあびて体験終了！　

In the morning, we went to the famous sand bath in Beppu. We could feel the whole atmosphere of the ocean spreading in front of the sand bath. When we were taking a sand bath, korean travel TV program was shooting by using the half of the sand bath. One young girl next to me was mentioning that one of the korean actors on the shooting is famous...but I had no idea who they were...　We first changed into Yukata, went outside to the sand bath with our camera, passed the ticket to a lady in charge, and lied down on the sand. The lady in charge put sand on me and took photos for us. She also put a small umbrella in front of my face, but it was not covering sunshine at all...haha super shiny morning sun was hitting on me in the end. The sand temperature was warm and got us sweat. We also could feel our own heart beat. The bathing time is 10 minutes. It rather feels so short, but I sweated well, so I guess that is for our safety. After 10 min bathing, we got out ofthe sand and took shower! This was our whole experience of sand bath.

電車で別府駅へ。別府駅から大正時代から続く友永パン屋を目指して散策。　

After the sand bath, we went to Beppu station by train to walk around the city toward Tomonaga bread store.

We dropped by this shop "Bamboo bamboo" selling all kind of bamboo handmade products.

そして、友永パン屋に。お店の隣には大きな専用駐車場があり、観光客らしき人々で店内は大混雑していました。And we finally found Tomonaga bread store since 1916. The shop was crowded. チョコレートパンとかクリームパンとか懐かしい味のパンが１つ９０円！安いし美味しそう！　私たちも４つ程パンを注文して、焼きたてを食べる事ができました。

mmmm reminded me when I was small. these chocolate bread and cream bread etc were only 90 yen. We ate 4 sweet breads which had just came out from the oven. Tasty ;)
で、その後、なんかランチの出来る雰囲気の良いお店ないかなぁと探してましたが、見つからず。。。結局ショッピングモールが見えたので、入ってお昼ご飯。　別府で北海道ラーメンランチ！　M氏は塩ラーメン、私は味噌ラーメンを。

We didn't see good lunch place while we were walking, so in the end, we went into a shopping mall and had lunch. Our lunch menu was Hokkaido Ramen noodle. Mr. M chose salt ramen noodle, and I chose miso ramen noodle.
竹瓦温泉へ。　温泉はたったの１００円だけど、古いスタイルなので綺麗好きな人は安くても無理かも。１つの部屋にお風呂場と脱衣所があって、区切りがないので着替えるところがお風呂場から丸見え。。。シャワーもない。お風呂のお湯を自分で汲んで身体を洗わないといけない仕組みです。なので、髪の毛を洗うのは結構大変かなぁと。温泉の部屋と反対側には休憩所を挟んで砂風呂もありました。私たち２人は内部の雰囲気はレトロ感を楽しみ、汗だけ温泉で流して外の暑さを忘れてリラックス。足のむくみもとれて温泉効果を１００円で満喫しました。

To Takegawara Hot spring. For taking hot spring, the entering fee was only 100 yen! Very old style hot spring. Male and Female were separated of course, but the bathroom & changing room exist in one big room, and there is no wall to separate these two places. so basically people who are taking a bath can see people who are changing their clothe... There was neither shower nor water supply tools, so we basically had to scoop hot spring water from the bath by yourself and wash yourself. So if you are visiting, I would recommend not to plan to wash your hair. The architecture and interior have nice old atmosphere. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and took off our sweat in the bath.(Taking hot spring always eliminate the swelling of my feet from the heat and walking. My feet felt much lighter after the hot spring even though it was a short bathing)

帰りの商店街で見つけたかぼす。この値段は安いよなぁ〜買って実家に送ろうかと迷ったけれど、結局買わず…でも、安いよな…笑

In the shopping street, we found Kabosu (a juicy citrus fruits closely related to Yuzu) which is a famous fruits in Oita prefecture. It was hard to decide if I should buy or not because it was very nice price, but i didn't buy it..but it was quite a nice price...

ちなみに、バスで取った整理券が、なんだか懐かしくて、写真に収めました。日本の地元にいてもバスに乗ることがあまりない、乗っても整理券をとることがないので、整理券を取るのがものすごい久しぶりだった。

夏旅ハネムーン ８月３日『 別府 』 Honeymoon Aug. 3 "Beppu"

西明石駅より新幹線「さくら」に乗って、九州へ。To Kyushu by Bullet trein "Sakura" from Nishiakashi station.

小倉にて大分県行きソニック号へ乗車。At Kokura station, took sonic limited express to Oita prefecture.

で、別府について、ゲストハウスに荷物を置いて、ランチへ〜。お昼は地元のひかり食堂で別府冷麺と別府名物鶏天。ちなみにその下の写真は、地獄谷巡り中に食べた地獄谷プリンとアイスクリームと大分県の名産かぼすのジュースです。（かぼす美味しかった〜）

Dropped our suitcase at guesthouse, and went to lunch. We ate famous Beppu reimen (cold noodle) & Toriten (tempura chicken) at the local diner "Hikari"

足用の蒸し風呂。自然に吹き出してる熱を使っているので、無料♡　全席の蓋を締めたまま一人で挑戦すると暑すぎて足を入れれなかった。。。ので、トライする時は他の蓋も空けた状態でトライする事をお薦めします☆　

Public steam bath for feet. When we tried, nobody was trying, so it was too hot to put our feet in. WIth opening some other covers, we could put our feet.

M氏、足が長過ぎて隙間が空いてる。。。笑

この日の気温は３０度越え。。。暑いけれど、せっかく鉄輪エリアにいるので、地獄谷巡りを少ししました。
We visited 4 different sources of hot springs called "jigoku" (hells)- boiling waters mineral-colored water and bubling mud. 　1. 白池地獄 "Shiraike Jigoku"

2. 海地獄　"Umi Jigoku"

3. 鬼石坊主地獄 "Oniishibozu Jigoku"

4. 血の池地獄 "Chinoike Jigoku"

源泉の熱を使った温室。睡蓮が綺麗に咲いてました☆

夜は、スーパーで買い物をして、近くのひょうたん温泉に行きました。　We went to Hyotan hot spring to take a bath at night after shopping at a supermarket.
